Crusoe, Bitcoin miner, to construct ‘multibillion-dollar’ AI data center in Texas

The Lancium data center is expected to be operational by 2025, although the specific timeline is not yet clear. Chase Lochmiller and Cully Cavness, who established Crusoe in 2018, are dedicated to harnessing unused natural gas for Bitcoin mining. Lochmiller expressed excitement about collaborating with Lancium in Abilene, given their leadership in renewable energy and their vision for the site. He mentioned that partnering with Lancium provides a distinct opportunity to sustainably power the future of AI and expressed gratitude for the city’s support in this ambitious endeavor.
