Trump in discussions to give a speech at Bitcoin 2024 in July, according to report.

Axios reported that Trump is in discussions to speak at the Bitcoin 2024 convention, which is scheduled to take place from July 25th – 27th, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee. This news came out on Monday, with two sources familiar with the matter cited in the report.

The announcement of El Salvador’s plan to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender was made during the Bitcoin 2020 event in Miami. Consequently, it is anticipated that Trump could use the platform provided by the upcoming Bitcoin event to make a significant statement about his stance on Bitcoin.

The perceived crypto-friendly attitude of the former president has led to increased expectations within the crypto industry. This is in stark contrast to the perception of the current administration’s approach, particularly before Trump’s emergence as a strong supporter of crypto.

In recent developments, Trump met with leading Bitcoin miners in the United States and expressed his opinion that all remaining BTC should be mined in the country. Furthermore, during a rally, he stated his intention to end what he referred to as “Joe Biden’s war on crypto.”

Although Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, founders of the Gemini crypto exchange, made a donation of $2 million, the exact amount donated in crypto has not been disclosed. On-chain donations currently total around $1,749,200, with the potential for the figure to increase once off-chain contributions made via exchanges are taken into account.
