Circle Introduces Programmable Wallets and Gas Station on Solana

Circle’s Web3 Services provide businesses and developers with the tools they need to launch on-chain apps. The platform offers APIs and SDKs that enable developers to build and scale applications with the ability to transfer fungible tokens and cover end user transaction fees. In the next phase of integration, developers will be able to take advantage of support for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and interact with Smart Contract Platforms, expanding the platform’s use cases to include NFT integration in gaming and for brand loyalty. Currently, Circle’s Programmable Wallets are compatible with Ethereum, Polygon PoS, and Avalanche, with the latest addition being Solana.

The company has also integrated native USDC and EURC on Solana and introduced its Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) to the network in March. Solana has formed significant partnerships and integrations with other players within its ecosystem, such as PayPal’s recent expansion of native availability of its stablecoin PayPal USD (PYUSD) to Solana. Through this integration, PayPal aims to improve global commerce by leveraging transaction speed and low costs.
