Hong Kong Expects Bitcoin, Ethereum ETFs to Surpass US in First-Day Trading Volume

The ETFs being introduced will include unique features that are not available in their U.S. equivalents. These features comprise in-kind redemptions and subscriptions, as well as the capability to conduct transactions in various currencies like Hong Kong dollars, U.S. dollars, and RMB.

Furthermore, the ETFs will allow wallet-to-wallet transfers, making them more attractive to a worldwide audience. Huang, discussing the new development, described the process that investors must follow to securely transfer their digital assets through authorized brokerage firms, highlighting that “Physical subscription is a pioneering initiative for Hong Kong ETFs.”
