Last year, a court ruling found that the institutional sales of XRP tokens violated U.S. security laws. In response, Moon Lambo, an XRP YouTuber, claims that Ripple’s President, Monica Long, has stressed the importance of swift compliance with legal restrictions while ensuring uninterrupted ODL services for U.S. customers.
Ripple is reportedly making exceptions for sophisticated organizations, reflecting their commitment to protecting end customers in the face of regulatory challenges. Moon Lambo also suggests that ODL transactions can continue without impediment as long as they do not involve U.S. jurisdiction.
Additionally, Ripple introduced a requirement last year stating that all ODL clients must have assets worth at least $5 million, unless they are large financial institutions.
