Pavel Durov unveils Telegram’s latest blockchain features

Starting next week, Telegram users will have the option to leave tips to administrators in TON, with content creators receiving a share of the proceeds. Additionally, there will be mini-apps on the platform for users to purchase content using cryptocurrency. Users will also be able to share TON with their contacts within Telegram.

In a statement, Telegram’s founder, Pavel Durov, mentioned that users will have the ability to log into their accounts using cryptocurrency wallets. Furthermore, it will be possible to register the rights to an account’s name, providing the option for users to sell it if desired. Durov assured that all of these upcoming innovations will be accessible to all users, and no programming skills will be necessary to utilize the new features.

Durov also highlighted the significance of these changes, stating, “For the first time in social media history, you can directly own your username, sell it, put it up for auction, buy multiple usernames, and attach them to your account.”
